Forever and a Day
So I havent died. I'm alive and well and well, lazy. I have been doing things but the process of uploading them just seems so time consuming. So, like always I did a bunch of stuff and now I'll post like 45678 entries to document it all. You'll see, it was worth the wait.
I'll start with something simple and pretty and happy.

One of my great friends got ENGAGED TODAY!
I'm so excited for her. CONGRATS BRITTANY!!!
So naturally, being a good friend I got her a gift. Something small and dinky, BUT Oh does it look elegant. Pretty paper and a BIG cream colored bow just made this simple gift look awesome.
So to start my 90 entry rant, a beautiful, simple project- a wrapped gift.

HEADBANDS HEADBANDS AND MORE HEADBANDS
HEADBANDS
GLORIOUS BEAUTIFUL HEADBANDS!
That is exactly what I've been doing today! I made 5 different headbands. I bought 7 packs of headbands at the dollar store and I wrapped them all in ribbon. Then I added a different embellishment to each one. Here they are:
This one I wrapped in a cream colored ribbon. Then I made an oversized bow out of the same ribbon and covered it in a black lace.
Check out the new camera I snuck into this pic!!!!
This headband is covered in a teal ribbon with fabric rosettes.
This one is also a teal ribbon, with a big pink daisy from a dollar store bouquet.
Here is one with another dollar store flower. This one is on a cream colored ribbon. (Sorry for the last pic- i had to crop myself out and the zoom looks bad)
Finally, I made one of those pom poms out of fabric and put it on a black ribbon.
Which one is your favorite?!

Stolen Headband Holder Idea
For those of you who read A Girl and A Glue Gun, you know she's doing a whole week on hair stuff. And as my whopping 10 readers (hangs head in shame) know, I too lately have been creating a lot of headbands (completely coincidental). Therefore, when I saw her post a tutorial for a headband holder I knew I would have to make one in order to have a place for my own growing collection. So I whipped out my adorable damask ribbon and got to work! It was the easiest thing and its getting those headbands off my dresser!
I did make mine considerable smaller though, as I don't have nearly as many and she seems to. Enjoy!
still room for the 4 headbands that I still have to redo
Headbands look firmiliar?

Valentine's Wreath
In an attempt to distract myself from my life I raided the thrift store and found one of those wicker looking wreaths for $0.50. I went home, grabbed some ribbon and an old book and did it up for Valentine's day. I'm not really sure how I feel about the finished product. To me its like too much, or I don't know, something just isn't quite right. If you can figure it out let me know!!

Picture Frame re-do
I am always very critical of my work. I usually hate it in some way, and others tell me to "shut up", this time though, I have reason to be critical. It started when the frame on my desk at work took its last breath. I grabbed another frame and decided to make it a perfect frame to hold a picture of me and the boyfriend. Sadly, I wasn't happy with the turn out.
I painted the whole frame white. This was where the error occurred. The paint job came out streaky and globby and overall just looked bad. I attempted to fix it with mod podge and items cut out with my Cricut but the final result ended up messy. If that wasn't bad enough I also wanted to transfer the metal letters i had on my other frame that said "Corey & Shaun." Sadly, somewhere in transport though, the U and N went MIA. I now have a frame that says "Corey & Sha" GREAAAAAT!

Headbands - 4 down three to go!
If you are a reader of my blog, and I think that's all of 8 people, then you know I've been doing headbands. Well, my last post said I had 4 left. NOW THATS THREEEE!!!
This one I covered in a royal purple ribbon, and then added a big bow. Its classy yet cute! The only issue I have is that any tiny bit of hot glue showing, SHOWS! Like BAM HELLO I'M HOT GLUE! E-6000 didn't work on this project last time I tried so I gotta see how it looks in the daylight while being worn. Otherwise, I need to figure out a way to get those hot glue stains off!
Now, without further ado....

See the hot glue!
HELLO IM HOT GLUE AND IM HERE TO ANNOY YOU!
May work on the head though. Yes? No? Maybe if it's a Tuesday and the sun is shining the right way?
Holy roots and bows! Note to self: Buy Hair Dye!
Nothing Says Class Like Pearls
The other day out of impulse I bought a strand of pearl beads. I have no idea bc I've never even liked pearls but for some reason I just wanted a bracelet. Then I WAS FEATURED (YAYYYYYYY) on Hoo's Got Talent. I was looking through her blog post at her other featurees and saw this: Ribbon Necklace and Bracelet
I decided it was adorable and went that route with my pearls.
I decided it was adorable and went that route with my pearls.
I only did the bracelet like the picture because with the smaller beads I used it was a real pain in the you know what to get every ribbon curl to be the same size. Plus I didn't have the right needle. Therefore, I kept the necklace simple.
I wore the bracelet, the necklace, a purple shirt, and this purple headband. I looked very classy! HAHA.
